Gala re-opening of
The West Bank Cafe and Laurie Beechman Theatre
to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS
MONDAY, APRIL 14 at 7 pm
Tom D’Angora and Michael D’Angora, producers and owners of the iconic 42nd Street restaurant West Bank Cafe, announced THE RENAISSANCE GALA marking the reopening of one of New York City’s most beloved cabaret venues, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, to be held on Monday, April 14 at 7PM.
The event will raise funds for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BCEFA), one of the nation’s leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations, and will reveal the historic venue’s renovation, currently being completed by Tony Award® winner and renowned architect and theater designer David Rockwell.
Performers set to appear are ANDRÉ DE SHIELDS, MATT DOYLE, LILIAS WHITE, LAUREN PATTEN, JOE ICONIS, MILO MANHEIM, LIZ GILLIE, BRYAN BATT, CHRISTINE PEDI, JELANI REMY, EMMA PITTMAN,
JJ NIEMANN, JAK MALONE, and CHIP ZIEN.
The evening will mark the official reopening of The West Bank Cafe and feature an evening of the restaurant’s iconic
hors d’oeuvres, nibbles, and bites as well as an open bar.
Additional performers, evening activities, and special surprises for the Renaissance Gala will be announced soon.
The Renaissance Gala features music direction by Benjamin Rauhala with stage and venue lighting design by Aiden Bezark. Brendan McCann serves as Creative Consultant.
