OUR ROLE AS CABARET’S ARCHIVISTS
Cabaret Scenes is the magazine of the American Songbook Association, a non-profit incorporating in New York State. Established in 1995, it is the world’s only hard-copy publication dedicated to the world of cabaret with an ever-increasing archive of cabaret. Since its debut, the magazine has featured hundreds of profiles on those who have had an impact on every aspect of cabaret, plus thousands of reviews of cabaret performances, CDs, and cabaret-relevant books. In 2024, every issue of Cabaret Scenes was accepted by the Library of Congress, and future issues will continue to be added to the Library’s archives.
