CabaretFest 2019!

If you’re fond of sand dunes and an ocean breeze, sail on up to Provincetown 5/29-6/2 where Patricia Fitzpatrick presents CabaretFest, an entertainment-packed five days with a host of local and national performers offering shows as well as workshops and master classes. Having already explored music of the ‘40s and ‘50s, this year, they will be Groovin’ to the Memories of the ‘60s.

Starting 5/29, MAC Award winner and Tony Award nominee Sharon McNight will offer a celebrity masterclass at The Pilgrim House, with Tom LaMark at the piano. On 5/30, the hilarious Warren Schein will offer his sage advice at The Pilgrim House in his Celebrity Workshop All the Things You’ve Got To Do…To Not Get Into Cabaret. Also there 5/30, Richard White, once a child actor on Broadway, presents A Broadway Baby-All Grown Up? with Tom LaMark at the piano. Later that day, Brian De Lorenzo and John DeMarco sing music of the ‘60s at the Harbor Hotel. Closing the 5/30 festivities, Warren Schein will host the Open Mic Party Come Together at the Harbor Hotel Lounge. On 5/31, John O’Neil will offer a performance workshop at The Pilgrim House, followed by Carol O’Shaughnessy’s celebrity masterclass, The Ethics and Business of Performing. MAC Award Winner Jeff Macauley will perform Live for Life: Movie & TV Songs of the ‘60s, with musical director Brian Patton at The Pilgrim House. The 5/31 pre-dinner show will reveal that Mike & Mardie Swing the Sixties. This year’s CabaretFest P-Town Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Sharon McNight will perform with music director Tom LaMark at The Pilgrim House. The big finish to 5/31 will be the Variety Show to end all variety shows, Oh What a Night, at The Pilgrim House, featuring all of the CabaretFest performers with Patricia Fitzpatrick performing MC duties.

On 6/1, the day begins with a cabaret Q & A panel at The Pilgrim House, moderated by John O’Neil, and featuring industry personalities Warren Schein, Carol O’Shaughnessy, Sharon McNight, Scott Barbarino, Bob Bond, and John Amodeo. Patricia Fitzpatrick will share Memories of the Playboy Club with music director Brian Patton at The White Wind Inn. Following that, Marieann Meringolo Explores the ‘60s from Warwick to Mathis to Legrand & More!. Later on 5/31 at The Provincetown Art House Theater, Warren Schein will have you Dream Along with Me: The Perry Como Song Book, with music director Tom LaMark, with special guest Carol O’Shaughnessy. CabaretFest headliner Nicolas King will cap the day with An Evening with…(wait for it) Nicolas King, at The Art House Theater. On the final day, 6/2, John O’Neil will host the cabaret brunch, With a Little Help from My Friends, featuring special guest artist Jeffery Wright followed by a variety showcase of all the CabaretFest masterclass and workshop students.
