Laural Meade: Ms. Tucker Will See You Now

This tribute to Sophie Tucker was a very satisfying show

Vocalists and musicians alike were top tier.

"A high level of musicianship."

One of our preeminent balladeers.

A force of nature.

The vocalist could give lessons in connecting with an audience.

Song choices were intriguing, but two fewer would’ve served.

The ideal mix of a personal theme and a great story told through humor and excellent songs.

Mathias commanded the evening with a cool confidence.

Gifted musicians who were equally strong as solo performers and as ensemble members.
