Launches Its New Leadership Inaugural Season

June 8th-14, 2026 

Spearheaded by New York actor/playwright David Rhodes, Provincetown CabaretFest is beginning a new chapter with Rhodes as its newly appointed Producing Artistic Director. After several years as a Master Class Leader and Headliner Performer, Rhodes helm the festival, building on the solid foundation of previous Artistic Directors John O’Neil and Patricia Fitzpatrick.

“Transitioning from actor/playwright to Artistic Director/Producer isn’t something I take lightly,” says Rhodes, “and I want to do it right. A big part of that is surrounding myself with inspiring people who can guide and support our mission to bring unparalleled performances and educational opportunities to Provincetown and foster the next generation of cabaret artists.”

An integral component in the New Leadership vision was creating Provincetown CabaretFest LLC and partnering with the Boston Association of Cabaret Artists (BACA) as the festival’s 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor. Working in concert with BACA allows the festival to conduct business with nonprofit privileges, grant eligibility, and accept tax-deductible donations, which is the cornerstone of the festival’s funding revenue.

This summer Provincetown CabaretFest will feature upwards of twenty shows, Master Classes, Workshops, and Special Events, and will be honoring Tony Award winner Faith Prince with the Provincetown CabaretFest’s 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award. Producer Emeritus Patricia Fitzpatrick will also be recognized with an Arts Enhancement Award for her invaluable contribution to the Art Form of Cabaret.

Included in the 2026 roster are Broadway and Cabaret luminaries Sally Mayes, Sidney Myer, Tracy Stark, Carolyn Montgomery, Nicolas King, Michael Garin and Mardie Millit, Provincetown’s own Zoe Lewis, as well as some innovative and inspiring up-and-coming young cabaret artists.
