Jazz singer Donna Byrne, Who Toured With Tony Bennett, Makes Rare NYC Appearance at Pangea
Donna Byrne, a longtime favorite on the New England jazz scene and an opening act for Tony Bennett—”She’s the real McCoy,” he said—will make her first Manhattan appearance in years when she performs at Pangea on October 6 at 7 pm. The trio will feature Byrne’s acclaimed husband Marshall Wood, Bennett’s longtime bassist. JazzTimes called Donna “one of the best singers currently on the scene, one who approaches her lyrics with both intelligence and swinging time.”
