Legendary Theater District nightspot Don’t Tell Mama is announcing the 6th annual “Mama’s Next BIG Act!.” a bigger-than-average, 8-week competition that mixes styles and genres. Beginning Tuesday July 11 at 7:00 and running for 8 weeks on Tuesdays through August 29.
Voted by the audience and a cavalcade of celebrity judges, the contest is open to solo, duo and group vocal acts, drag artists, and musical comedy acts. All acts must sing live with live accompaniment.
The winner receives a $1,500.00 stipend to put towards a NEW show at Don’t Tell Mama to be presented in early 2024, a feature article in Cabaret Scenes Magazine, poster and promo card design, a free class at Singnasium, a show poster hung on the DTM Wall of Fame, AND a Soda Stream
Plus other surprises!!!
Mama’s Next BIG Act! is open to any musical act over the age of 18. Musical acts may consist of solo, duo, or groups, and may be of any genre or style. Acts may use our pianist or bring their own. Other instruments may be used. Tracks may not be used. Vocal Groups, Drag Artists, Musical Comedy acts are encouraged to submit, as well as Solo and Duo Vocal Acts.

**Mama’s Next BIG Act will take place on Tuesdays between July 11 and August 29. If your submission is chosen, you will need to perform on July 11. You must be available on Tuesdays July 11 through August 29.
