20th Annual Provincetown CabaretFest
Celebrates the ’70s

The Provincetown CabaretFest is back with its 20th season celebrating the music of the 1970s. The Festival will be held from May 27-31 featuring a stellar lineup of talent, master classes, and will honor Sidney Myer with their Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ambassador Productions brings the largest Cabaret Festival in New England back to the historic seaside destination town celebrated for its nightlife, restaurants, and arts scene. The home to many cabaret artists for decades, this festival kicks off the summer season and playlist with Disco, Folk, Broadway, Funk, and Soul Classics that will have you boogieing all weekend long.

The festival’s lineup features a true 1970’s icon, singer-songwriter/ TV Host, John Davidson, who will take to the stage to share songs and stories transporting us back to one of music’s brightest decades. The weekend will also feature solo shows specifically designed for the festival by Jan Peters (Boston), Michael Garin & Mardie Millit (NYC), Roderick Ferguson (NYC/Boston), Joe Della Penna (Boston), Lisa Gail (Boston), Warren Schein & Michael McAssey (NYC), Patricia Fitzpatrick (Cape Cod), Sean Patrick Murtagh (NYC), and many more.

Sidney Myer will be this year’s recipient of The CabaretFest’s Lifetime Achievement Award. The multi-award-winning cabaret artist has been the heart and soul of Don’t Tell Mama, and official booking agent, for over 25 years. His generosity and passion for the art form have been essential in supporting and nurturing young talent as well as keeping cabaret thriving. “The most lovable man in New York cabaret,” (TimeOut New York), is the obvious choice for this honor and it is an honor to celebrate him.

Patricia Fitzpatrick, event director and producer, has a long-time history in Provincetown and is committed to keeping a cabaret destination for artists and audiences alike, “It is such a thrill to be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Provincetown CabaretFest this May. Cabaret is a ‘small venue’ promoting an intimate performance for audience and performer. We are dedicated to preserving this unique experience.”

The Mission Statement of the Provincetown CabaretFest is to entertain, train, educate, and coach students interested in preserving the art of Cabaret performance.In keeping with the mission statement, Ambassador Productions, through the medium of our Provincetown Cabaret Festival, strives to bring the art form of presenting the American Songbook in an intimate venue to a wider audience. Our Celebrity Master Class and Performance Workshop instructors are the best and have included Mark Nadler, Steven Ross, Eric Comstock & Barbara Fasano, Marilyn Maye, and Jeff Harnar with Alex Rybeck. Last year, we were extremely fortunate to secure the expertise of the iconic Sharon McNight. This season we are honored to have as our Celebrity Master Coach Angela Bacari, vocal coach for Liza Minnelli.
