The final night of the Mabel Mercer Foundation’s Cabaret Convention saluted lyricist Sheldon Harnick (She Loves Me, Fiddler on the Roof) and composer Charles Strouse (Annie, Bye Bye Birdie) and was hosted by the hostess with the mostest, Klea Blackhurst. Two awards were presented as well: The Julie Wilson Award, underwritten by Linda & Peter Hanson, was given to Lauren Stanford; the Margaret Whiting Award, presented by Debbi Whiting and underwritten by her company, My Ideal Music, was given to Todd Murray.
