Gus Kahn - Cabaret Scenes

Mary Porter’s Southern Nights

An evening full of charm and excitement.

Superb vocal control manifested in taste as much as technique. Notes soared without strain. The veteran had nothing to prove.

This CD is a collection of catchy, melody-driven tunes with sometimes kitschy lyrics and sometimes harmonized vocals.

Offers distinctive, cotton-flannel vocals, a fresh interpretation of tried-and-true lyrics, and Marcus Goldhaber’s original songs.

She has strong stage presence, knows of how to shape a song, and has a good sense of humor.

This show was a perfect example of how poise, interpretation, and honesty move us most and leave us with much to ponder.

This woman is a powerhouse; from the moment she stepped on stage she delivered a high- energy, can’t-take-your-eyes-off-her performance.

He’s a superb interpreter of this music.

A pleasing show.

Edwards’ charm is undeniable.
