Scott Siegel’s Broadway Ballyhoo has moved to 54 Below for a monthly two-act extravaganza. The new format gives the audience twice as much of the uniformly great entertainment that this show always provides.

The most recent of these had an all-star cast with Mr. Show Business, Mark Nadler, opening with “Everything Old Is New Again” and closing with “’S Wonderful,” with a virtuoso portion of “Rhapsody in Blue” imbedded in the number.
There were many particularly memorable moments in this production. Carole Demas (pictured) performed “Meadowlark,” which she had introduced 38 years ago in The Baker’s Wife. Bob Stillman sang a hilarious “I Think of You” written by Maxine Linehan’s husband Andrew Koss, for Linehan’s birthday, followed by Linehan performing “Unexpected Song.” Film actress Marya Coburn returned to the stage after a more than 20-year absence to excite the audience with a dramatic medley of “(Theme from) New York, New York” and “Cry Me a River.” As always, Scott Siegel’s introductions were amusing and informative and Musical Director Ian Herman amazingly adjusted to each performer’s style beautifully.
