SHINING YOUR LIGHT: CULTIVATING CHARISMA AND AUTHENTICITY with DANIELLE EPSTEIN, LMSW
Whether it’s connecting to a casting director through a video audition or connecting to an intimate cabaret audience, we’re often called to be seen in front of an audience, in ways we’re not completely comfortable with in daily life. We often question how to best make our voices heard and how to make a lasting impression. Charisma and authenticity are often assumed to be ephemeral qualities bestowed on an elite group of lucky actors, politicians and media personalities, but, in this workshop, we’ll examine how charisma and authenticity are more about first, honoring the light inside of you; and, second, making a commitment to putting that light to good use in the world.

11:45 – 1:15

VOICE SAVERS: TRADITIONAL AND HOLISTIC with LISA VIGGIANO
This seminar features vocal health strategies from a speech-language pathologist by day/singer by night. on keeping the voice healthy and resilient. We will have some fun with traditional and holistic tricks to reduce the effects of fatigue and stress on the voice.

TECHNICALLY SPEAKING with JONNY MERCADO
For people to love you as much as they should, you gotta be seen and heard. Spend some time with one of cabaret’s finest technical gurus as he helps you find your light, learn about mic technique, and what to ask for in a tech rehearsal. *A pianist will be provided for hands-on instruction of mic-technique. Bring music!* This workshop will be held at Don’t Tell Mama.

4:15 – 6:30

Kristine Zbornik

MASTER CLASS with KRISTINE ZBORNIK
The New York Post called her a madcap mix of Ethel Merman, Lucille Ball and Bette Midler; her father called her a lazy piece of sh*t that would never amount to anything; you decide. Credits— Broadway: A Catered Affair; Las Vegas: Mamma Mia! (Rosie); 1st National Tour : 9 to 5 (Roz).

Other highlights: Varla Jean Merman Is The Bad Seedling – Christine (Lead) TWEED Prods.; Blood Orgy of the Carnival Queens; The Club (Bertie).
