Cabaret-Cares-Johnny-Mathis-Cabaret-Scenes-Magazine_212A benefit for Cabaret Cares/Help Is on the Way Today.
Join us as we celebrate the 80th birthday of the premier balladeer of our time, Johnny Mathis. To quote Barbra Streisand: “There are a number of good singers, a smaller handful of truly great singers, and then there’s Johnny Mathis.”
The evening is hosted by Frank Dain, MAC Award nominee for Male Vocalist, with musical direction by Kathleen Landis and features many of the songs closely associated with Johnny Mathis, which Frank performed in his critically-acclaimed show, The Magic of Mathis. From show tunes to movie theme songs to pop songs, Johnny Mathis has covered them all.
But this is not a solo show! Frank has invited some truly talented vocalists to work their own magic on these songs. Eric Comstock & Barbara Fasano, Jeff Harnar, Tanya Holt, Marieann Meringolo, Kurt Peterson, Marcus Simeone, Stacy Sullivan and Lennie Watts will lend their talents to what will be a truly entertaining evening.
