She is poised, professional and sings well. Much of her material centers around life as wife and mother.  There’s a goofball parody to Billy Joel’s “Uptown Girl,” called “Bucktown Girl,” in which Glickman explains that she makes her husband wear three wedding rings to stroll the gamut of their new hip singles neighborhood.  She has fun exploring her two-religion household  (Christian and Jewish) with Elizabeth Doyle/Own Kalt’s “Half and Half Holiday.” We get the song about the devoted mom who privately longs for the bright lights in “Mommy Is a Rock Star” (Andrew Byrne).

We enjoy Glickman’s solid rock belt as well. There are tender moments, tool, particularly in “Hang the Moon.” (Mark Shaiman and Scott Whitman). As Glickman travels farther along her promising cabaret road, she will no doubt connect more to the vulnerable side of her voice and presence that adds an important dimension to a solo cabaret show.

All in all, it was quite a party!
