“A phenomenal demonstration of one woman’s stamina and musical intelligence. This ageless dynamo has earned a singular place in New York’s cabaret world”. That’s what The New York Times recently said about the legendary Marilyn Maye’s performance of Sinatra – Her Way, Maye’s musical love letter to Frank Sinatra performing on Wednesday July 22nd. St. Louis is one of the first cities outside of New York to see Maye’s hot new show that recently debuted to rave reviews at Manhattan’s 54 Below. On Thursday July 23rd St. Louis will experience a rare singer/songwriter solo turn from 3 time Tony winning Broadway composer Jason Robert Brown. Brown’s celebrated scores to Parade, The Bridges of Madison County and The Last Five Years, along with his stand-alone cabaret classics have earned him a place as one of the most gifted songwriters of his generation. On Friday July 24th, two-time Tony-winning actress and singer Christine Ebersole graces the Sheldon Concert Hall with her brand of flawless vocals and theatrical elegance in an exciting St. Louis cabaret debut.

“We are thrilled to present 4 remarkable and diverse shows,” said Festival Executive & Artistic Director Tim Schall. “Marilyn Maye continues her unparalleled career renaissance and brings the best of the nightclub days gone by to the Sheldon Concert Hall stage with her musical love letter to Frank Sinatra. 2015 is the centennial of Sinatra’s birth and there’s no one better suited to pay him homage than an artist of Maye’s stature. The St. Louis Cabaret Festival is equally committed to presenting the best new songwriters to St. Louis audiences and Jason Robert Brown is the perfect choice. Think Billy Joel-meets-George Gershwin–meets-Stephen Sondheim and you have the brilliant music and lyrics of Jason Robert Brown, a powerhouse singer/pianist in his own right. Friday night July 24th we kick off the weekend with Broadway’s consummate singing actress, Christine Ebersole. One of the few outright Broadway stars, Ebersole is also a celebrated cabaret and concert performer who happens to have a great list of film and television credits. The Festival is also pleased to present the new faces of cabaret and each of the aforementioned shows feature short opening acts by some of the finest new cabaret performers from St. Louis and around the country. We top it all of on Saturday July 25th by showcasing more new performers in a the celebratory St. Louis Cabaret Conference Showcase.”
