The Gaslight Cabaret Festival at St. Louis’s Gaslight Theater presents: Brian Owens in Sam Cooke at the Copa 3/5; Neal Richardson in Pennies from Heaven 3/6; Joe Dreyer and Rosemary Watts in Transitions 3/7; Linda Kennedy in Melody/Movement 3/12; Ben Nordstrom in Living the Moment 3/13 & 14; Meghan Kirk in The Story Goes On 3/20; Anna Blair in Inside Story: The Songs of Fran Landesman 3/21; T. Oliver Reid in Drop Me Off in Harlem 3/27 & 28; Nancy Kranzberg and The Second Half 4/2; Gina Otto in The Lovers, the Dreamers, and Me 4/9; Ken Haller in Mamma’s Boy 4/10; and Kay Love in Girls Just Want to Have Fun 4/11.

Also in St Louis, Jazz at the Bistro offers René Marie 3/4-7, Denise Thimes 3/27, Freddy Cole Quintet 4/1-4 and Kurt Elling 4/15-18.

Chuck Lavazzi

Chuck Lavazzi is the producer for the arts calendars and senior performing arts critic at 88.1 KDHX, the host of The Cabaret Project’s monthly open mic night, and entirely to blame for the Stage Left blog at stageleft-stlouis.blogspot.com. He’s a member of the Music Critics Association of North America and the St. Louis Theater Circle. Chuck has been an actor, sound designer, and occasional director since roughly the Bronze Age. He has presented his cabaret show Just a Song at Twilight: the Golden Age of Vaudeville, at the Missouri History Museum and the Kranzberg Center.
