London’s The Crazy Coqs plays host to home-grown as well as foreign-born entertainers. Among the former, John Standing 1/11 & 2/8, Joe Stilgoe 1/25 & 2/22 and Barb Jungr 2/1. Traveling a little further to get to the club: Brent Barrett 1/20-24; Carole J. Bufford 1/27-31, Jeff Harnar & KT Sullivan with their Sondhiem show 2/10-14 and Liliane Montevecchi 2/24-28.

Ian Shaw has a busy January at London’s Jazz Club Soho. He appears with Liane Carroll 1/13, Guy Barker 1/14, Natalie Williams 1/15, solo 1/6 and,

in a second show that night, with Jamie Safiruddin, and with his “Friends” 1/17. Also at the club: Jacqui Dankworth 2/1, Bob Dorough & Friends 2/19 & 20 (and at Maidstone the next night).

Joe Stilgoe is also at London’s Ronnie Scott’s with Natalie Williams 2/14. The 2013 Jazz FM Awards Winner for Best UK Vocalist, Carleen Anderson, performs 1/8-10. Ruby Turner, who has been awarded the prestigious Gold Badge Award for her contribution to British music, entertains 1/26 – 2/4. Kate Dimbleby, who was just in the U.S with The Dory Previn Story, is there 2/22.

The Girls from Oz presents Australia Show at The Pheasantry 1/25. Nicky Gayner is there with her Empty Nest 1/27 & 2/10. After their critically-acclaimed show at NYC’s 54 Below, Christine Andreas and husband Martin Silvestri stop by 2/18-21.
