Clark Warren presents Jazz & Standards with a Twist 11/5 & 24 and Ruth Carlin is there with A Light in the Window: Songs of Judy Collins 11/8. That same night Steven Brinberg is Simply Barbra. Daryl Sherman tickles the ivories 11/12 & 29. Husband-and-wife Paul & Rochelle Chamlin are there 11/13. Kim Grogg says Go Where the Love Is 11/14 & 18 and 12/5 & 7. Celebrate the holidays with Richard Holbrook and Christmas in New York 11/30 & 12/1. Richard Barclay directs.

Judi Mark is Dancing through Life at the Laurie Beechman Theatre 10/28 & 11/18. Tex Arnold supplies the arrangements and is M.D. and Jeff Harnar directs. Judi showcases the songs made famous by ladies who danced.

Shana Farr brings her new show, In the Still of the Night, to the venue 11/2. Carolyn Montgomery-Forant makes a welcome return to the cabaret stage in her first solo outing in some time with Visible Phoenix 11/21 & 12/22. MAC’s Roving Open Mic, hosted by Tim Di Pasqua, is there 11/25. Speaking of MAC, the organization presents two seminars: An Afternoon with the Masters is 11/15 with Jeff Harnar, Baby Jane Dexter, KT Sullivan, Sidney Myer, Steve Ross and Karen Mason on the panel. Susan Winter makes a return visit to the Metropolitan Room with installments of her A Woman for All Seasons show 11/4 & 12/8. She and Deb Berman continue to host Open Mic @ the Met 11/9 & 23 and 12/14 & 28. Brent Barrett makes a welcome stop 11/10, 12 & 13. Sheila Jordan is celebrated at a new monthly series, Laurie Krauz’s Jazz Soup, 11/11. Each month will feature a different and exciting mix of some of the best jazz artist around. Jazz Soup returns 12/2. It wouldn’t be the end of the year without the return of Baby Jane Dexter to the venue. She’s back with Rules of the Road (Part 3) 11/21, 22, 28, 29 and 12/20, 26, 27. Celia Berk celebrates the release of her CD, You Can’t Rush Spring 11/23, 30 & 12/6. One of our media partners, David Kenney, brings the Everything Old Is New Again Holiday Show to the club 12/14. Look for a line-up of top cabaret talent to aid in this fundraiser for WBAI.

The 2014 Duplex Gala is 11/3, highlighting some of the outstanding performers from the past year. It’s hosted by Thomas Honeck and directed by Lisa Moss with musical direction by William TN Hall. Lisa also directs Thomas as he is once again Dancing with Death 11/23. Sandra Bargman presents The Edge of Every Day at the club 11/2 & 21. Ian Herman is M.D. and Shawn Moninger directs. The Revolution continues at the club 11/9 & 11 starring Kathleen France & Dawn Derow. It’s a Wonderful Life seems to be on TV every day throughout December. 59E59 returns to the halcyon days of New York nightlife with the U.S. premiere of Cafe Society Swing for three weeks 12/16 – 1/4. Written by Alex Webb and directed by Simon Green, the cast includes Evan Pappas, Cyrille Aimée, Charenee Wade and The Cafe Society All-Stars. During the same period, the theater offers another U.S. premiere: Beware of Young Girls: Kate Dimbleby Sings The Dory Previn Story. Musical director is Naadia Sheriff.

54 Below hosts The Music of Alex Rybeck. Directed by Sara Louise Lazarus, the show features the songs written by Alex with lyrics by Carol Hall, Ira Gasman, Michael Stewart and others. On hand to lend their interpretive skills to the festivities are Faith Prince, Liz Callaway, Ann Hampton Callaway, Karen Mason, Jeff Harnar and Melissa Errico. Ann and Liz are also there with solo shows—Ann 11/23-29; Liz 12/22-27.

Jeremy Jordan is still Breaking Character 11/1, 7, 11 & 12. Love Is Good with Christine Andreas runs 11/18-22. David Burtka takes the stage 11/25 & 26 in a show directed by his husband, Neil Patrick Harris. Annaleigh Ashford is Lost in the Stars 12/1, 8, 15. Laura Osnes is there 12/9-15.

Arthur Pomposello and Heartbeats of the World present Cabaret Is Alive and Well at Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Center 11/10. There are two shows: Andrea Marcovicci in I’ll Be Seeing You…Love Songs of World War II, and Rat Pack Poet-The Songs of Sammy Cahn with Eric Comstock, Barbara Fasano and Jeff Harnar. Eric Comstock continues his weekly Tuesday gig at Cafe Noctambulo at Pangea. Added to the schedule are Hilary Kole on Wednesdays and Sue Maskaleris on Saturdays.

The Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Brookville, NY welcomes Natalie Cole 11/15 and Cheyenne Jackson 12/6. The 2014 Bradstan Cabaret Series at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts continues with 3 Men and a Baby…Grand starring Brian Lane Green, Lee Lessack and John Boswell. That’s 11/15.
